Well, unfortunately the Student General Meeting that I talked about in my last blog entry was cancelled at the last minute which means my website accessibility motion didn’t get heard. However, it will be making an appearance at the next SGM which will be happening in the first week of term – giving me more chance to publicise it through SUCS.

On another note, the end of term is finally here. I am at home in Abergavenny for a week or so before heading back to the fun that is Swansea and a 100 page dissertation. 6 weeks before it is due in – oops. I really need to crack on with it.

For a bit of light entertainment, check out NewsBiscuit.com – it filled a few hours of procrastination earlier.

Word for the week

oops, in my last entry I forgot to mention my word for the week. This came about because my wonderful phone didn’t have the word i was after in its predictive text dictionary. If you can work out what the word was supposed to be, leave me a comment.

So, here goes.. the word for the week is… *drumroll*…. yanker.

My job is to try and somehow incorporate this word into my dissertation…

The Little Chris Moyles Show

Anyone who has been listening to the Chris Moyles show on radio 1 over the past few weeks, will understand what this is about, but basically they’ve been using the wonders of old technology to alter their voices and make them sound really young (doesn’t quite work as planned).

Dave the Chameleon

Following on from posts on Scary Biscuits and Oogily Boogily Woogily I felt the need to comment on the Labour Party’s local election advertising campaign “Dave the Chameleon” (details here).

I would advise anyone who reads this to go and download the movie from the website and have a watch. For a party election broadcast, I’m surprised. Its actually quite funny and I can’t wait for the next episode to air on Thursday. However it set me off thinking about how the Conservatives are planning on countering this advert. Are they going to follow the same sort of format… picking on Blair? or are they going to do something different?

If they go with the same format, what object / animal would they portray Blair / Brown as? Comments appreciated.
