Hey everyone,

Its been a very long time since my last post, nearly 2 months or so  However, im avoiding revising for exams and am instead posting here.

For the past few weeks i’ve been busy sitting the latest batch of university exams.  Most of the exams have gone ok, although some have been a real bitch (CS213 – Functional Programming being one).  I now only have one more exam left – CS216 – Theory of Programming Languages.  It is got to be the worst exam ever.  There is so much material that needs to be learnt.  On top of that, we have no idea what is going to come up in the exam because the past papers are all so different and the lecturer hasnt given any hints as to what is going to be on it.  Am not looking forward to it at all.  If we had had a coursework for this module then things would be a little better, because i would have gained an understanding of how some aspects work, but this is a 100% exam module which makes it really bad.  Oh well, not much can be done about it now.  Just have to hope for the best, but if the best isnt good enough, i always have the summer to revise for the resits.

On another note me and the other guys in the flat are going to have to find somewhere else to live next year.  We knew that Elizabeth was moving out at the end of the year (spending a year in america), but we had hoped we would find someone to move into the empty room.  Unfortunately this hasnt happened.  So we are going to start looking for a 3 bedroomed flat somewhere in Brynmill / Uplands for next year.  Hopefull we can find somewhere nice, i really dont fancy living in a dump. lol

As the title of my blog says, its a new year and I have new plans.  I am fed up of constantly being overwhelmed with work so i have decided to organise my time better.  Following this train of thought, i have set up my Outlook to synchronise tasks with my phone whenever i walk into the room, so from now on, anything that needs to be done will be tasked in outlook, prioritised, assigned a completion date.  This way, i should be able to keep track of everything and not get too bogged down.

That isnt the only new plan i have.  I have finally decided to set up a personal website, which means that in a few weeks this blog will be moving to a new shiny website with a new shiny address!  And hopefully i will remember to keep it more up to date with random ramblings!  So look out for the new blog coming soon!

Finally, i am currently being puzzled by a difficult question… how do you tell someone you like them?  Now i havn’t had much positive experience in this matter in the past.  My first girlfriend Jen, i didn’t really ask her out, it just sort of happened.  With Jules, she asked me out.  Helen i asked out over MSN which really isn’t the best way to go with these sorts of matters.  There have been a few (*cough*3*cough*) occasions where i have asked in person, and not had a positive result .  So i am left with the question, if you like someone, how do you tell them?  what do you say? what do you do?  its all sort of a mystery to me, which isnt helped by the fact that im quite shy when it comes to this sort of thing anyway.  it takes me ages to get the courage up to ask someone, and then i end up sort of on auto pilot and mess things up, or just end up not saying anything at all.  Now, some people will understand the reason im asking this, but for those who dont… tough, im not telling you why! lol. At least, not yet anyway.  Either way, i’d be interested in any comments that anyone could give.

Well thats me all rambled out for the time being.  I think im going to head off to bed and get myself some sleep before i start revising again tomorrow.  Am heading out to the local pub for a few drinks after the exam to celebrate the end of what has been a ****ty few weeks.  Also going out for a few drinks on saturday with Gemma and Kate which’ll be fun
